A Wright Chat member is struck by this headline in the local rag:

Frank Lloyd Wright rats

It seems that a cafeteria at the Marin County Civic Center experienced a rodent problem; the story informs citizens that order has been restored.

Our member headlines this tempest-in-a-teapot, thus:

How Readily the Print Media Is Inclined to Capitalize on Frank Lloyd Wright's Name Whenever It Might
in Attempts to Increase Sales . . .

The disappointing evidence:

Our friend is remarkably reserved in his response to the above; he writes:

"I take as a rather sweet gesture, personally, that this local publisher has elected to tie the present civic center pest infestation with the name of the most
famous artistic genius it could think of to plaster across its headline for its edition of the Novato Advance for this week."

We are not certain that all this is worthy of the "Sure we can call anything FLLW. . ." thread, so it is presented here. Make of it what you will . . .

Total missed opportunity for someone to photoshop pork pie hats onto rats.

Right. Maybe the editor couldn't find a picture of rats; those look like mice to me. But what do I know ?

I'm waiting for someone to add the porkpie hats. I can send a bigger file of the "rats" . . .

They are so freakin' cute!
I'd name them Frank and Mamah, Frank and Aaron, or (name two females with a connection to the MCCC).
In any case, unless Wright designed little arched openings into the café walls for the rats to enter, I can't see what animal control issues, common to any food service building, have to do with him.

While we're discussing rats, an aside: don't be fooled by prompts on your computer to "update Adobe Flash player" -- they're likely malware (adware). There's a variety that's aimed at Mac users . . .

The issue is at least two years old, so perhaps everyone but me has already encountered and dealt with it.
