Cheshire looks so cheery and harmless, while Gloria always looked like she could eat her children.

In one of the bathrooms, the sink has a cylindrical appurtenance of some sort with a grid of holes, seemingly for gushing water, which looks rather ominous, sticking straight up from its perch. What is it, and how is it used to cleanse? Does it come with a speculum? Why do plumbing manufacturers feel the need to reinvent the good, old-fashioned faucet on a regular basis? What's next, a computerized faucet with an app telling you when to wash?

Looks like a lot of love was put into the updates; the kitchen is nothing if not neat. Are the stone floors original ? They look brand new.
