Here are those rogue garage infills, as of last May:

When I was walking along curbside, there was a lawncare crew doing their thing. One of them waved me over to show me the enormous mound of water lily detritus he'd just fished out of the fountain/pool. There was some intense fauna going on, as well as some standing water on the terrace closer to the house:

When did Wright copper up the pool side fašade of the house? Early pictures do not have the trellises and ornamental box beams.

Heh. The chairs and tables reveal the scale of the construction. Compare to the illusion of grandeur given by the early photos:

The modification also lowered the terrace (or raised the pool), apparently. Photo to follow.

photo c/o Pinterest and Curbed Chicago

Mr Wright usually gratifies our fondest desire: the pergola is cantilevered beyond its support posts. The planter urns now seem overscaled ?

A couple of distressing photos that I have seen only in Heinz's 1978 Newsletter shows Coonley just after the fire had gutted the living room. The firefighters are sitting in the utterly ruined room.
