HI,

I'm interested in doing a project on FLW, concentrating with him from 1900-1920 as social reformer? Anyone got a good idea where to start to collect primary sources, documents pertaining to that area of study? I am in Connecticut. I was hoping for archives at Guggenheim, but it seems most of his archives are elsewhere.

Any info would be great.

I would suggest the Avery Architectural Library at Columbia University. I recommend these books given your topic:

Frank Lloyd Wright Collected Writings: Volume 1 1894-1930

Frank Lloyd Wright: The Lost Years 1910-1922

Frank Lloyd Wright Autobiography

Frank Lloyd Wright by Meryl Secrist

Frank Lloyd Wright To 1910: The First Golden Age

Books on the California Work, especially Aline Barnesdall and her projects

HI Paul,

Thanks for the info. I will give them a call tomorrow.

Thanks too, for the start with books. I have started with a couple of books he wrote in the late 40's.

I am so impressed with his work, I am even thinking of buying that house for sale in Michigan... But it is out in the sticks!! Crying or Very sad

Regards,

Robert
