Thank you. The design, budget, and construction documents have all been approved by the client. The project has been submitted for the Green Building Permit. It will be issued for bid in 10 days. We have yet to complete the furniture bid package. However the furniture that you see in the renderings is in the budget approved by the client.

If the writer means Aalto, I'd take that as a compliment. Ditto for Sweden's IKEA, which has put more good modern design into the homes of more people than any other company. The model unit in the 1930s Reitveld townhouse development, across the street from his Schroder House in Utrecht, is furnished entirely in IKEA. It looks great.
What I like about the design is that there is nothing tentative about any of it. Everything looks like it belongs; no afterthoughts; nothing coy; use of materials is clean and straightforward.
I am not a fan of the sanctuary but the other designs are nice enough. The student apartment is a great use of space and I like its "IKEA like" nature. Wish I could have lived in something like this when I was a student!
