Corviale in American Assassin

Post by Tom »

Probably as far away from Wright as one can get in terms of architecture.
(Admins will not hurt my feelings is this is deleted.)

Corviale in Rome - perhaps the epitome of late modernist housing, a huge complex, and one headed for renovation.
Tafuri sang it's praises in Architecture and Utopia.
Locals say it blocks the wind that used to cool their small region.

I found it featured in a film on Netflix called: American Assassin.
The film is well filmed. Michael Keaton plays a Navy Seal.
However it's pure ultra violence viddy gingoistic American militartist
propaganda, but I watched it.
The bad guys make there penultimate escape in a long scene filmed in Corviale.

So if you've ever been interested in the project - there it is around minute mark 1:20.

Pretty grizzly movie. A few glimpses of the building, c. 1:22, and a nice Alfa. Anything else ?
