Re: Tazaemon Yamamura Residence (1918)
This is a major work, yet when I search Artstor for the drawings, I find nothing. Since the house was not built until long after FLW had left Japan permanently, perhaps the plans were left in the hands of Arata Endo, who was in charge of construction. To determine exactly what was done by FLW and what was altered by Endo would entail some serious enquiry. One factoid I read about long ago was that the horizontal dimensions were done in feet, while the vertical dimensions throughout were in Japanese measurements. There is an obvious relationship to Barnsdall, but there is also detailing that I find un-Wright-like.
