Shocked that any house in Alaska would cost $1.2M. They have to shave off a zero to convince me to live in that frigid climate. And the add says it would require $1M in repairs. I wonder how much it would cost to dismantle and move south?

This is a Lautner I have never seen before. The triangular windows hint at Goff.
I agree, Matt2, Anchorage would not be my first choice for a retirement home. I spent too many years in Minnesota to put up with winter any colder than it gets in Los Angeles (currently 53).

This is Harpel #2 (1966); Harpel #1 (1956, Hollywood) has been well covered. #1 is not illustrated, oddly, in Weintraub's book, but it appears in the Escher book. The zig-zag glazing of Harpel 2 reprises a similar detail at the Perlman residence, Idyllwild, CA, 1957.
