The asbestos-abatement lobby scores another victory, at the expense of the restoration effort at Graycliff ?

I do hope we'll see more of the garage structure at Graycliff. Even W A Storrer, who gave the garage its own file number (S.226), was unable to furnish a plan for the building. He did provide his readers with a photo:





And we have Wright's elevations, though they don't agree entirely with the vintage published vintage photo.

I believe plans were included in the Martin Papers that were auctioned off in 1984. I know there were blueprints of the garage, but not sure if there were also plans. At any rate, they were sold to a private party.

We have access to portions of (7) versions of the plans currently, held by Avery, Univ/ Buffalo, Cornell, Library of Congress and some private collections. Another set was sold at the California Book Auction in the 1980's that we have not seen. Based upon the letters at U/B several more versions existed whose whereabouts or current existence are unknown.
