I am not sure how well-regarded he was by our gang, but sad to hear that Cesar Pelli has died, age 92.
WeHo is the site of perhaps is most famous buildings, the Pacific Design Center, a controversial group of 3 huge buildings in heady shades of blue, green and red, huddled around a very small gallery.
His largest would be the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur.

He designed the BOK Center in Tulsa, the largest ramp in the world, as of 2008, and his only arena.
I was there at the opening and walked right by Pelli and a group of people.
I would have taken a photo but alas I did not as I was enamored by the shear beauty of the building, a very modernistic yet somewhat organic structure, resembling a rotating cloud, in my opinion. The acoustics were not grand but they have fixed it since.

Pelli also designed what is today the Key Bank Building in Cleveland, the tallest building in Ohio. I've always found it to be rather elegant, though I'm not a fan of the red keys at the top.

San Franciscans are generally pleased with Pelli's nearly new Salesforce Tower.

(The small map locates the tower correctly, with a red dot; the enlargement omits that dot, leaving a bright green indicator which is not the correct location of the structure.)
Images of the completed tower, including samples of the changeable (and animated) light show at the crown, are here:
