Hi, Chen. If you're a Price Tower specialist, perhaps you can identify and place this diagonal window, revealed (to me) only today, in a photo contributed by Wright photographer Dave Anderson.
Where in the building is this view found ? Anybody ?

The diamond shaped window is located on the ground floor, north side facing the business parking lot. The space was leased in the 1950's-1970's to a local public utility...there was even a drive-up payment window planned or in place at one point.

Thank you I was about to post the same response in photo.
Mr. Price requested a circular window after construction had begin, Wright refused saying something to the extent that there will be no circles in his building. The diamond shape window was a compromise.
The photo itself is interesting! Do you happen to know when it was taken?

The drive up payment window was located where the gift shop is now. You used to be able to drive your car through that section but it now has glass on both sides.

Thanks to both. That looks like a standard aluminum sash. 45º is an odd choice for this building, as is the shape; I would have thought Mr Wright would go for square. Too "square" for this hip building ?
Do we know that this rectangle, at this angle, was Wright's choice ?
Mr Anderson does not provide dates with his photos---unfortunately.

Im not sure if it was his choice but I would have thought so.
Does Mr. Anderson have any other photos of Price Tower?

Jeff T is going to send a clip of a plan drawing that specifies a round window, 2'-6" r (or d ?)...

I found only six of Dave Anderson's photos taken at Price tower. They are undated; they are presented in alphabetical order and with abbreviations of Anderson's titles.

Was the gift shop selling models of Price Tower at some point?

Im not sure but I don't believe so.
When I went and 2017 the gift shop had very few Price Tower related items.
I have a small model about 5" tall of Price Tower that I purchased on eBay. They where a limited edition done several years ago.

Thank you for those photos! It looks like there is a banner on the parking structure which seems to suggest it was in the 1980's when the building was for sale? The apartment is missing its chairs and its shelfs which further make me think the photos date to the 1980's.

They should sell models. I saw that model in the first photo here and wondered where it was available. I'm in Seattle and you should see the variety of models they sell of the space needle...every size and shape you can imagine. Not an exact comparison to Price, but something to think about.

I totally agree! I would think that the model in the picture was made by an individually and is a one off. It doesn't look like the original model made by Taliesin. The original model is at the Museum of Modern Art now and Price Tower has a model made by an architectural firm that has an office in the Tower.
If I was the buyer of the gift shop I would be selling models of the tower, copies of the copper panels, copies of the chairs, pillows based off of the Mural in Mr. Prices office....etc. I could go on and on.

Would paper model kits of the Price Tower be popular? Perhaps similar to the Robie House paper model kit?
