Florida Southern College Usonian House Progress

The big steel has arrived and is being positioned and welded into place. The walls should be completed by the end of November, and interior details are starting to take shape.

Work has begun on the demolition and restoration of the little green house next to the Usonian, and bricks have arrived for the fireplace.

I'm wondering if the grid lines in the slab are saw cut? Are the separations between pours expansion joints? Do these joints fall on the grid line? From the pictures it looks like the grid lines have been numbered on the batter boards. Grid line #10 runs N/S located at the S/W corner of the living ...

I think the answer is yes. Some changes to the original plans are required to meet modern codes and hurricane readiness, but in its essence it is what Wright designed.
