I always like seeing detailed drawing about the construction of Wright's works -- especially notes on how they are to be built. Gives some insight into his engineering.

I only wanted to do unbuilt stuff of Wright since it tends to be the hardest material to find.

Tom, check out FLLW v. America [ http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/026210 ... detailpage ].

It details a lot about Wright in Europe.

The Crosby-Lambert project is one of my favorite. It's so simple, yet, elegant.

It's also rare in the distinction of it having a single bedroom.

Nice to see that I can finally look at the images MoMa has.

There's a handful of American System-Built plans I've not seen before.

The largest errors I tend to see regarding "Prairie" architecture: lack of overhanging eaves stressing the horizontal; low stories; bands of windows; symmetry in some regards; etc. By contrast to the Prairie, Usonians were, ironically, part of the type of "Machine" architectural-ideal echoed by the ...

Site documenting Wright's projects

OK, so, for a few weeks I've been scanning and posting, etc., images from Taschen and various books I have to finally make a site that somewhat archives Wright's projects. It goes through every year he was active. https://visionsofwright.wordpress.com/ It goes in chronological order -- except for th...

From what I was told by a teacher of mine years ago, Wright's usage of 30/60-angle grids was, also, due to the angles being easier to maneuver around, i.e. he felt it has a more "natural" feel to it -- iirc. I could only wager the reason he chose what grid for what houses was just whatever entered h...
