Just visited Hollyhock today. Shame they don't do the full tours -- a docent said they weren't sure they'd be able to do full tours, anymore, due to ADA compliance with stairs. We could only walk in the foyer, music-room, and down the hall. Living room, dining room, bedrooms, etc. are roped-off. Goo...

I've seen this project in The Drawings of FLLW. The notation at the bottom says Taliesin Associated Architects and not Frank Lloyd Wright; and it specifies that the project was sort of followed out based on sketches by Wright. Taschen doesn't have the plans, neither does it catalog the project -- at...

For goffmachine, I'll write what the image says: My Dear Mr. Lowell: We never submit competitive sketches. We offer this suggestion in your case, however, as a compliment to your son whose work I admire very much. If the suggestion is valuable, you are welcome to it. You ask what it would be likely ...

Conceptual drawing by Wright
I found a proposed plan by Wright for a studio for Webster Tomlinson that is not included in Taschen -- in fact, the project isn't even listed in Taschen. It's a simple single-story plan and touches of early Wright, of course.

No, I mean Point View. I considered it was the Rand Cottage at first, but then I saw the PV perspective. In Frank Lloyd Wright Drawings: Masterworks from the FLLW Archives, pg. 78, it's noted that FLLW added lines to the cliff to accentuate the drama of the setting. You can see it in the full perspe...

FLW, Himself, often added his own bits and pieces to drawings done by others, like Howe. One example I can recall is in the Point View Residence rendering. He added steeper cliff lines to the drawing to make it look more dramatic http://api.ning.com/files/SD3B3QVX8yoA1Oqgg1*roBxnuOl33Fk5fjpJ6RhfDAT...
