Roderick: I used the plan for the basis of the design. I used the doorways to scale it. My upper floors haven't been fixed but in my defense this is a hard model to maneuver around in. I have made tweaks when the front columns were not spacing right. The model is split 2 ways so it is easy to fix an...

In the split plan shows a typical floor and the club room plan. Every floor has their own balcony on either side. Behind the column you see, in my photo,is actually on the inside. Below is the model's columns front and plan: https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5637/22523094462_321812a2c0.jpg https://farm...

It's from the same design as the plan. They are 3'4" apart.
I used multiples of 2 and 4. It seemed to pan out fine with the model and perspectives.

This is the latest updates. The details in the drawings are so unnoticed. https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5646/21909601164_b5cd53b9b0.jpg https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5734/22344396020_347f57f910.jpg https://farm1.staticflickr.com/630/21911142683_d4d75229dc.jpg https://farm1.staticflickr.com/589/219...

In the Taschen is there a floor plan for typical and club floors?
I'm amazed at the column details. The arch does make sense as the Press Building does have an arch way.

To be honest this building is fascinating.
I always wondered why there are 2 variations
In the model design.

The height is now 259', the average height for a 24 story building. The floor spacing is 7'7" except at the top and bottoms. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/627/22487219242_8e4a58bdb4.jpg https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5715/21879440883_969b83a045.jpg https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5800/22313814299_5c...

I used the model as a reference to floors and spacing. For 24 stories I should be at 259' not 263'.
I have wondered if I did something wrong in the spacing at the bottom.

Thank you David.
I've been monitoring the site. I'm glad to be back.

Back to the subject, I hope to gather more info on the design. There are some areas of questioning that I can't tell.

SDR I have a drawing of the fascia and 8" tall (with a 1/2" overhang) but inside 5" for light deck. I just went back to the drawing to clarify.
Also the board and batten is capped at the top with a 1/2" mahogany moulding.
The home also has some neat towel racks.

Pink- the color of the 50's.
It's seen in a few Wright homes of the 50's but the pinks were subtle.
I think Ablin has seen a paint job though.

John- I have done 4 to 5 I think at least.
Price Tower is still a work in progress, and that one has been a hard one to tackle.

Tom the heat works just fine from what I hear.
