I printed out the map with the six sites indicated. I don't often see a map of these Great Lakes states -- Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, western New York -- where so much of Wright's work is built.

I'm still wondering if this, from the Wikipedia page mentioned earlier, has any bearing in fact: "He even purchased a portion of Drummond Island in Michigan, where he created a private resort complex featuring buildings designed in the style of Wright." Does Domino's still own the building...

The biographical information I read indicated that Monaghan was brought up in his religion, and had a deprived childhood -- perhaps as an orphan ? At least that is what I remember. I believe you're both correct -- and thanks for the correction. Of course, this is intended for wood with a good coat if varnish or other finish; I don't know if oiled or waxed wood, or "dry" wood, are good candidates for this treatment.
