I have usually had very good experiences with the tour guides/docents, I have encountered at other FLW sites. I don't always divulge my background, so as not to inhibit anyone and to really hear the story of the house I am visiting. I wish ( it's that hindsight thing Paul (LOL) ) I would have had th...

Why didn't the wealthy residents of Arcadia STEP UP and save the DW House when it was for sale ? The renovation and redevelopment will have no impact on the neighbor hood, its streets or on ANYONE. Access is off Camelback Road, not Rubicon. If it was a "scraper" and a McMansion being erected no one ...

Rosenbaum House

I am greatly indebted to the architect, Robert Whitten and to Libby Jordan, Director Rosenbaum House, for their kindness, courtesy, generosity and good will, during my visit. What a jewel. And it's all there, along with the 1948 addition by FLW. All honor and glory to the citizens of Florence, Alaba...

thanks Mark. The ranks are thinning of those who had direct contact with FLW. Inevitable, but still sad.

This is quite interesting. Since my last visit to the property, during the siege by the jerk asses who previously held ownership, I can report that this film shows extensive cleaning and "sprucing" up to both the interior, exterior and landscape. This appears to include the John Howe designed guest ...
