Look at the Silestone web site. They also make some solid color "quartz" which might fill your needs.

I don't know if it's still available, but how about slate? Like the old chem lab bench tops?

The newest, hottest trend in countertops is concrete which can be colored, would that fly? There are also some nice man-made (synthetic) granites (Silestone is one) that are pretty good, and a nice greyish-green one that we considered before we decided on granite.

Might help to know where you are. Otherwise someone might recommend an architect in FL and you're in WA.

I agree with SDR, the base is WAY too big. Maybe leave at max 1" below the waterfall edge.

Ed - I'm with you. Just looking at photos in books, Keys had always been one of my favorites. Having seen it in person, it's pretty "ugly" now. It need some cleaning up if nothing else.

And why are we growing banana plants in Minnesota???????

I think there is an addition since the Howe updates. I have a couple of photos taken last year which shows a bit of a roof extension looking from the street, and a photo looking thru the trees of the addition. It's hard to see, but the photos are here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/98315875@N00/21009...

Let's be real for a moment.... 1. If you were a multi-millionaire with a penchant for everything FLW would you purchase any/all of the items being offered or at least try seriously to buy them? If yes, then isn't railing against the sale a bit hypocritical? If not, then I'd say you're probably decei...

Yes, Carslon is still standing. Last time I saw it (Oct 2006) it was painted a hideous blue color)

Went by FSC while in Tampa visiting my daughter and saw the fountain. Unfortunately, it was running about 1/2 strength, so didn't get the full effect. Was glad to see something other than the massive spread of concrete that had been there.
