And there is the client. Music store owner Duey Wright, according to Storrer, had perfs abstracted from the rhythm found in Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, the home being the Wrights' "Wausau Concerto".

Would it be a more pleasing way to terminate the band of windows, rather than letting them die at the junction of the wall?

Looking through this set of photos, there's the FLLW signature tile on the inside near the entry door, rather than outside. That's different.

To see how FLW organized living space without interior partitions, it is interesting to pull up some simple, small house floor plans from different periods and compare them. For example, compare Fireproof House for $5000, Barton, and the the very late Seth Petersen cottage. Here FLW used essential e...

I would like to see and experience the asymmetry, balance and scale of the little Herbert Angster house of the same period.

We visited Rosenbaum last year and thought the little office a couple of steps down from the living room was a wonderful feature. Baird also has an office here. Lusk looks to have a private covered outdoor terrace just off the office with its own long seat and what appears to be shelves? I haven't s...

Forest, thank you. I was able to find that thread https://www.savewright.org/wright_chat/viewtopic.php?p=23708&sid=38864a972a16869e8b5c70eb388cf4fa and it is very good. In other recent photos I don't see the "shed" roof of the Hilla Rebay addition, but it looks like it may have been changed to a fla...

Thank you. It seems I read that another space was created up there, this one facing the tea circle, for a visit of Hilla Rebay. Is this another separate room from Iovanna's, also accessed by the same narrow stairway? I've looked for a photo of this area but never found one.

Space above Taliesin III Living Room

There is a small balcony above and to one side of the Taliesin living room. I've seen photos from the living room towards the balcony, and from the balcony down to the the living room. The tours we been on have not mentioned it. I'm curious of what's up there, how large is the space, and how is it a...

Louvers

The George Berdan project had louvers above the window wall transom. I don't remember if they were operable, not sure of the date of the design.

Thank you for posting this, we hope for the best outcome as well. 101 years of age. Is it my imagination or have these Wright homeowners lived unusually long lives? I have to wonder if the rather consistent Usonian design and material formula contributes to longer, perhaps more joyful and healthier ...

Carr, Gillen, and Brauner also have concrete block windows. So do the Usonian Automatics but that would be a different category I think.
