A quick glance at the photos shows that a lot of the brick work is exposed to the elements. I would imagine that water would degrade the mortar over a period of years.

I recently found this old article. The Author describes Wright's work as perverse and claustrophobic ! A house with floor to ceiling glass is claustrophobic? Really? Fortunately, a new addition allows one to " Experience a Wright house while not being condemned to live in one." Sounds like a hatchet...

Perhaps a Nusonian that is "non-Wright" is more acceptable. It seems that too many homages to the old man arouse contempt rather than admiration. Are there any non Wright Usonians that stand out? If so then what makes the design pass muster?

Perhaps its the variance from Wright's geometries, itself, which makes these others' furniture a good choice; no one would mistake the furniture with Wright's, which is comforting to those who wish to clarify that they haven't introduced pseudo-Wright objects into these historic interiors ?-Sdr Perh...

I would however, venture to say that the chair would be a worthwhile ...

I also wonder if copyright protection could be afforded to a project that could not even be built without significant design alterations?

Thanks to michealmaguire for posting so much up on the internet for everyone to enjoy! The new building may not be "pure" Wright but it is as good as we are likely to get in this lifetime. I'm simply enjoying the wonderful trim-work and the clean fresh blocks!. it is a truly impressive piece of work...
