On my campus tour when considering attending FSC, I was told that the masonry screen was built by students that couldn't read the plan very well. Post subject: Textile Block DIY

Part of the work done at Florida Southern College for the water dome was recreating some of the sandstone blocks to house the pumps. Perhaps someone there created a how-to, or could create a how-to when doing more blocks.

It's not a designer's change, but there's a story told that the block screen in front of the choir loft at Florida Southern College was installed upside down. As a result, the congregants cannot see the faces of the choir members.[/i]

My college band did a concert there some time ago. I found it amusing that we weren't permitted to use our black music stands; we had to use the purple ones the hall provided.

That's a lovely postcard. The view is the interior courtyard of the Ordway building, looking northward. I believe that the round theater/lecture hall at the far end is currently undergoing restoration.
