Thanks for all of your interest and information. It was very helpful.

Originally the lanai was grass. 20+ years ago someone changed it to concrete. We hope to return it to grass. This change seems essential to maintain the calming effect created by the extended views from the doors and windows.

outdoor furniture

It appears most Wright homes do not have outside seating options. The Goetsch Winckler house has an enclosed lanai. I'd like to place 2 chairs and a small table in it. Any thoughts/suggestions?

The Goetsch-"Winckler house has a very small "basement". The story goes that the only request the two women had of Wright all during the construction of the home was to have a place to "store their canned jellies and vegetables". Wright wanted nothing to do with adding the b...

I do not know the exact age of the Wright items, but they appear to be at least 30 years old. No other furniture is in the house. When you spend any time in the property, you discover the real meaning of "less is more." You need to allow yourself to be enveloped by the beauty of the interi...

The house currently has 8 dining chairs, 1 studio chair (a larger version of the dining chair), 3 ottomans/stools, and 3 side tables. All of these items were designed by Wright. The furniture in the various pictures is from previous owners.
