I agree. Buffalo would be a great choice for the Conservancy Conference. Who has any pull with them?

I am looking for a dollar figure for the effect the Darwin Martin house restoration has had on the local economy.

I was wondering if anyone had heard a dollar amount I could use. I know when I went to tour the Darwin Martin House, I stayed at a BnB just down the street.

That is what I want to hear!

Considerable Differences
1. The Perforated Wood Screen design
2. The Utility Room is twice as big as Wright's plan
3. The house was intended to be elevated on four steps

I have not found correspondence that account for any of these changes, other than the Perforated Wood Screen design.

She is still with us, but off doing her own thing now, so I don't run into as often. I thought that someone who actually knew Ted had posted on this forum, shortly after he passed on. Thank you for the suggestion.

I seem to remember a discussion about Ted Bower, the Taliesin apprentice who worked on the Weltzheimer house. Does any one know if he had an archive and where one can access it?

That is basically what I had heard. So I wonder whatever happened to it? It is a very elegant design. The Feinman house in Canton, Ohio is a variation of that original--so the design does exist.

What is the current status of the Usonian Exhibition House?

That seems odd. I had questioned them about the provenance of items up for auction and either they didn't understand my question or they didn't want to reveal the source!

Did you try Wright20 as an auction house. They seem to include Wright in many of their auctions.
