Re: Wikipedia and Wright

Lots of good observations here. Most of the questionable information on the page doesn't have any references, much less substantial ones. The Brendan Gill "Lincoln/Franklin" nonsense is obvious from reading his book—he posits both the "Frank Lincoln Wright" and "Franklin Lincoln Wright" name theorie...

Wikipedia and Wright

In light of the 20th anniversary of Wikipedia, I’m curious about what the forum members think about its entry on Frank Lloyd Wright, re: completeness, accuracy, specific problems, and its overall quality.

I saw Elizabeth is Missing and I agree with Roderick 100%.
BTW, Glenda was a MP from 1992-2015!

Stephen Cowdery Clearly something like this is not for you. As I am sure the open page is not for you either that's fine. I now the Wright Cate and other web pages have a lot of great stuff. Michael P.. Good to know that someone knows what is best for me. I refuse to join a club that would have me ...

Re: Imperial Hotel dishes for sale

Whichever it is, that's a pretty good price, all of the FLW dinnerware pieces are getting hard to get.
The Cabaret style is a really "fun" thing to have. I just have the 7.5" plates and use them all the time,
everybody loves them.

Time for a reissue?

“Stephen writes that he is bothered by: "

No, not me, that was SDR.

I did look at the Wright Facebook page (through someone else's FB account) and was not impressed.
I'll stick with Wright Chat.

“No doubt it's a wonderful endeavor, but Facebook is an immediate deal killer.”

This is a deal killer for me as well.

Re: Should there be a new social media closed group for Wright?

Count me out.

My experience with "closed" groups is that there is usually an agenda—hidden or otherwise. I know that open forums can have problems, but it is far better to have things in the open.

Re: Article: 'FLW Houses Don't Have to Cost a Fortune'

Interesting that they start with a picture of the Neils house. At 2.79m it could be considered a fortune, at least for a 2600 sq ft house. On the other hand, it sits on a million-dollar lot next to multi-million dollar homes.

Location, location, location!

Re: Retail: Allen House (Wichita, KS) Planter Reproduction

I've got a Nicols Bros. sprite and it is well made, the reconstituted stone is smoother and probably tougher than concrete.

They say is it suitable for outdoors, but I wouldn’t leave it outdoors if there was a chance of freezing.

Anybody recognize the painting on the wall ? (For some reason, my mother had this reproduction on our wall, for a while.)

All vision is ultimately in the brain, but yes.

I would think that the 3-D viewers for VR should work perfectly with the parallel images, wheras the Cross Viewing doesn't need glasses.
