There's a similar story about Frank and Lloyd in LA. He left Lloyd to oversee Storer, Freeman and Ennis when he moved back to Wisconsin, and the blocks (or at least the molds) found their way into some of Lloyd's houses. Taggart, for example, uses Ennis blocks in an outdoor walkway / trellis.

Boyle, in The Women, says that racial insults are what set Carlton off. How good is the evidence for this?

When I tried to see it years ago it was hidden behind a tall hedge. A corner was visible from the end of the driveway.

They say you can see through the hedge in winter. If you hurry you might catch it in time; otherwise wait til next winter.

The main beach in Carmel CA has at one end (the bottom of Ocean Ave) a restroom modeled on Walker at the opposite end.

Somewhere I saw a drawing of a studio for Richard Bock. It was one of the hard-edge B&W renderings he produced in the 20s.

Three Quarters of a Century of Drawings lists a 1949 YWCA design for Racine, with one drawing (#175).

The statues at Johnson Wax were originally for a Nakoma Country Club. The River Forest Tennis Club is still in business, though it's been moved.

The former Creamette hq in Minneapolis, now an apartment building, has an entrance similar to Glessner / Morris.

Do the Martin numbers include purchase of the real estate?

Is Kamin right when he says at 1:30 that the corner columns are what hold the building up? I thought it was the walls and clerestory columns. Bok at 19:35 seems to say this too.
