Pfeiffer

A long time ago I knocked on the wall and it sounded hollow. I asked BBP if it was a wooden construction and he nodded.

HOJO made a comment about a different Google view which I didn't get) then it may always have been merely a light fixture, despite what's shown on the drawing. I only remarked that what I see when I surf to Google Maps today (and you also can, so don't need to get it) is different and blurrier from...

Note: the Google maps picture of previous page shows the skylight.
(The actual Google maps looks a bit different)

So, it was initially build without the bas-relief, and soon after FLW advised by the installation of the bas-relief and designed the skylight for it? Is that the story?

I like the Art Deco bas-relief. Was it built in? In the picture labeled 'Carleton Wall in his living room, 1949' one can see on the very left 3 shelves, against a brick wall and a skylight above (also drawn in plan). In the next picture one sees the same wall but now in front, with the bas-relief, ...

Genau (Exactly).

Zeigler:

Perhaps I should have written Tz(eye)gler, or even more precisely- Tz(eye)glare.

Not 'glare', 'gler' must be pronounced briefly like in wrangler, or (maybe in this case more applicable) like in 'lieber meister'

Emphasis on the first syllable Ts(eye)

On this page https://www.cassina.com/en/collection/tables/615-husser#dimensions I found a downloadable drawing file (DWG) which I am unable to open. Perhaps one of you professionals will open it to see if it contains useful data . . . ? SDR The read-only DWG-file (Autocad) contains a 3D-model of th...

Roderick Grant wrote:DNR, I believe you are right. That stone-walled bedroom has a closet perpendicular to the wall, which doesn't exist in the original bedroom wing.
Both stone wall and closet are parallel to a side of the triangular light in the ceiling, so the closet is not perpendicular to the wall.
