Re: Bill Boyd and the Keland House

"Looking at Storrer's floor plan I'm only seeing one bathroom in the bedroom wing (master bedroom). Is the unlabeled room beside the carport a guest/children bathroom? Also, the carport location is strangely inconvenient to the kitchen/living/dining area as well as the uncovered entry door. I must b...

Re: Bill Boyd and the Keland House

I asked Karen about the name of the house when I was writing my Wright in Racine book. She said it is the Keland House, the original name.

Re: Should there be a new social media closed group for Wright?

Stephen writes that he is bothered by: ""Post only those photos, drawings, renderings, etc you personally took or have permission from the creator to use." I intended the following even before I saw Stan Ecklund's welcome explanation...My photographer (and I appreciate the compliments on here) is co...

Re: Should there be a new social media closed group for Wright?

Stephen, it is not really a "closed group" that he left. One does have to apply, but everyone is welcome. They can get bounced for violating basic, common sense rules (such as insulting people, grossly politicizing things, and so on). There are many, many members...almost 5,000 when I checked last s...

Re: Chauncey Williams house 1895: Wright? Wright & Corwin? Corwin & Wright?

Here are the exact dates that Rev. Eli Corwin was pastor of the First Presbyterian Church. I have the information because the church commissioned me to write and photograph an anniversary history book for their 175th anniversary in 2014: Rev. Dr. Eli Corwin Pastor from Dec. 20, 1880 to Sept. 9, 1888...

Re: Charnley and Winslow Houses

I appreciate the discussion. Unfortunately the Chat no longer sends an email to the poster when someone posts a comment on a particular post, so I am not up to date. I would be happy if the discussion were on the web article that prompts this discussion. Mark Hertzberg

Charnley and Winslow Houses

New on www.wrightinracine.com...was Frank Lloyd Wright's work on the Charnley House a rough draft for his masterpiece Winslow House, designed when he was only 26 years old?

Re: A Fresh Look at Penwern

They do not, Roderick. But I have photographed them extensively since I started visiting in 2013. Many of the photos are in my book and in my presentation. My intent here was to show what is new at Penwern. My presentation for Monona Terrace's lecture series this summer is at: https://www.mononaterr...
